The New Era of Aussie Glass: The 5 Best Online Bong & Smoke Shops in Australia (2026)

The FAB List  ·  2026

Finding the right cannabis gear doesn’t need to feel like a gamble.

Hello my Friendly Aussie Buds, Entoza here. Today we’re talking about the best shops in the country to purchase your bongs, dab rigs, vapes, and all your other cannabis accessories.

We’re officially halfway through 2026, and it’s been five years since Friendly Aussie Buds dropped their last top list. A lot has changed since then. The Aussie 420 scene has evolved, the 710 community has stepped out of the underground, and what we actually want on our coffee tables has shifted. The days of settling for cheap, machine-made glass are fading.

Today, it’s all about “heady” hand-crafted glass, perfectly functional recycler rigs, and endgame dry herb setups like Ball Vapes.

Because the landscape is so different now, finding a reliable shop that stocks the right gear matters more than ever.

This list ranks the top five online retailers leading the Aussie scene in 2026, breaking down exactly what they specialise in, why they deserve your business, and who they are best for.

The short version

Based out of Melbourne, AFI has positioned itself as a one-stop shop, catering to every corner of the cannabis community.

Here you can find everything you need, from a Custom Roor Tube, to a Ceramic Cock Bong (Perfect gift btw). From a starter quartz banger, right up to a ~$700 high end quartz control tower. From a brass conepiece to an Australian made Empirical Glass fully worked 4-hole slide.

But they don’t just stock glass. AFI stocks a comprehensive range of rolling accessories. Stocking everything you need; whether it be premium King Palm rolling papers, trays or RipTip joint tips, they have it.

Finally, they round out their range by appealing heavily to the thermal extraction crowd. Keeping the DynaVap and Tempest ranges on hand alongside induction heaters and all the spare parts you could need.

These guys didn’t just open a store and call it a day; they practically started the Australian glass scene.

Founded way back in 2010 and run by Paul and Nicole out of Coffs Harbour, OzBongs is a true Australian cannabis community icon.

OzBongs were one of the first, if not the first, to import premium high end glass like EHLE and Sovereignty into the country, direct from the source.

They also worked hard to ensure just about every bong in Australia came through them. Setting up Ozism, a wholesaler, they started supplying your local smoke shop with their Agung and Phoenix Glass pieces, which is where we all got started.

Fast forward to 2026, and OzBongs is still dominating the market by having the strongest connections with international suppliers in the country, giving them a range no one can really match.

Whether you’re after a $2500 Sovereignty FA Pint Pillar or just a basic Agung daily driver, this is the place. If you want fast shipping, solid customer service, and to support a true pioneer of the scene, hit up OzBongs.

3

Vices Oz: Best for Ball Vapes & TEDs (In-House Designed)

Based inBrisbane, QLD

Owned by the man himself, Beedles, Vices OZ is truly taking Aussie design around the globe.

Beede doesn’t just import TEDs; he has designed, and continues to develop, his own entire range. The innovation in his gear, which includes some world first’s, has recently received international recognition, taking him and the team to Mary Jane Berlin 2026, which is just awesome to see.

His range includes the Adaptaball, an in-house designed and tested Ball Vape; the Clearly (also available in a kit), the world’s first All-Quartz Baller Head; the recently updated JoyStick, a ball vape inspired, portable and battery-free TED; and The Coma, the world’s biggest ball vape.

But if you follow Beedles and Vices online, you know they have a lot more in the pipeline.

With one of the craziest personal glass collections in the country, Beedles knows there is no point selling high end TEDs without also stocking the glass to match.

Vices stocks some of the headiest pieces on the market, frequently dropping functional art from renowned artists like Warwick Glass and Dohn Joe.

While they carry some heavy hitters in the glass blowing world, Vices is also a great place to build out your first dab station. Vices stocks some great functional rigs that won’t break the bank, and pair that with a reliable banger so you can learn without spending hundreds on a single piece of quartz.

Overall, if you’re looking for an innovative TED, high end rig, or just an entry level dab set-up, Vices Oz is a great place to shop.

Frequently Asked

What’s the best online bong shop in Australia in 2026?

For most people, A Friend Indeed is the best all-rounder thanks to its curated range across glass, rolling gear and vaporisers. OzBongs has the biggest premium and high-end range, Vices Oz is the pick for ball vapes and TEDs, and The Green Box covers combustion-free and medical-grade ARTG listed hardware.

Is it legal to buy bongs online in Australia?

Bongs and water pipes are sold legally as smoking accessories across most of Australia, but the laws vary by state and territory. Check your local rules before ordering. Every shop on this list ships within Australia.

Where can I buy a ball vape or TED in Australia?

Vices Oz designs and sells its own ball vapes (the Adaptaball and The Coma) and TEDs. A Friend Indeed and The Green Box also stock thermal extraction gear and dry herb vaporisers.

Can I buy an ARTG-listed medical vaporiser without a prescription?

Medical-grade vaporisers like the Volcano Medic 2 (ARTG 319028) and the Mighty+ Medic are supplied as therapeutic devices. Whether you need a prescription can depend on the device and the supply pathway, including the Special Access Scheme (SAS) and Authorised Prescriber pathways, so check with the retailer and your prescriber. This article is about hardware, not medical advice.

Do these shops ship discreetly?

Yes. All five ship discreetly Australia-wide in plain packaging. Note that vaporiser shipping was affected by Australia’s 2024 vaping reforms, and some devices can’t be shipped to certain states (for example, some retailers won’t ship dry herb vapes to South Australia), so confirm at checkout.

Do any of these shops have physical stores?

A few do. A Friend Indeed has a store in Rowville, Melbourne, We Are Lux runs a shopfront near Bondi Junction in Sydney, and OzBongs operates it’s distribution out of Coffs Harbour.

How we chose

Friendly Aussie Buds is an independent cannabis-culture platform, not a retailer. We don’t sell gear, and this isn’t a paid list. FAB’s editorial runs independent of our sponsors, who get zero say in what we cover. These picks come from years inside the Australian community: each shop’s reputation with growers and heads, the quality and range of what they stock, and how they look after customers.

I broke a lot of things before I turned thirty. Action sports will do that. Enough of it and you stop counting the individual injuries and start counting the surgeries. I have fusions, reconstructions, and enough metal in me to be a nuisance at an airport. What that adds up to is chronic pain, which is a boring, permanent, and unglamorous thing to live with. The options are not great. You can be sedated or you can be sore. I did both for a while. Cannabis is what got me functional. I am not going to make claims about what it does for anyone else, because I am not qualified to and the rules quite rightly do not allow it. But it is the reason I stopped treating this plant as a bit of fun and started paying attention to it properly. How I Ended Up Writing About It Once you are a patient, you get curious. You start reading the label. You want to know who grew it, in what, and why the same strain from two farms comes out completely different. Most of the answers were hard to find. The clinical material does not cover cultivation, and a lot of the culture writing skips the parts that actually matter to a patient, like why a product suddenly disappears or why the price is what it is. So I started going and finding out. That means farm visits, talking to growers, reading a lot of regulation, and writing up what I learn in a way that makes sense to someone standing in a pharmacy holding a tub. The Day Job Before This I spent five years in asset finance. Two of them running my own brokerage, which I built from the licensing up, and before that a franchise and a senior consulting role assessing credit files against lender policy. It is not an obvious background for this, but it turns out to be a useful one. Asset finance is heavily regulated, and the job was mostly reading policy carefully and working out what the rules genuinely said versus what everyone assumed they said. Australian medicinal cannabis is the same kind of puzzle. When a farm tells me they cannot change a tub from ten grams to fifteen without every patient needing a new script, I understand why that matters, and what it costs them to do it anyway. What I Cover Cultivation, mostly. Farm visits, growing media, living soil, pest management, the practical business of making a crop. Genetics and lineage, because the history behind a cultivar name is usually more interesting than the name. And the industry side, meaning how the Australian system is put together and why products and prices behave the way they do. I also write the reference pieces. The ones with tables and real prices in them, that you bookmark instead of reading once.
