Make Sure Your Herbs Are Dry
This almost goes without saying… the question is, how dry?
Well, the herbs shouldn’t have extra moisture on them. You can check your buds by holding them for a second – if they feel moist, dry them out first.
You can dry your buds by leaving the herbs overnight in a glass jar, with a tissue paper on top. The moisture will evaporate from the buds, and the paper will absorb it.
You can also purchase some moisture-absorbent bags, for optimum results.
Use a Grinder
Stuffing the vape’s oven with large chunks of herbs won’t work – the air will fail to circulate evenly. Your plant will receive uneven heat, resulting in thinner clouds and less flavour.
Using a grinder is an indispensable step in getting the most out of your dry herb vaporizer. You’ll notice better taste, thicker clouds, higher potency and less ‘mess’ – not to mention, your sessions will last much longer.

Pack the Herbs Correctly
A fine-to-medium grind of your herbs will be necessary for most vaporizers – however, some will work with bigger ‘bulbs’.
For a conduction oven, one must pack the herbs firmer. For a convection oven, the herbs should be loosely packed, with an even consistency. required for most vaporizers. However, some even work with huge bulbs.
The small ‘stirrers’ that generally come with vaping devices are very useful tools for packing bud into the chamber.

Drawing fast and strong wrecks the flavour of cannabis vapour.
Take longer and lower draws to maximise your sensory experience. If you are a beginner, it can take some time for you to get the hang of it. At first, your lungs will resist the sensation – but over time, your body will adapt.
Let the device preheat and reach the optimum temperature before inhaling. After 30 seconds, start by taking some gentle puffs. Continue to inhale until you feel your lungs filling up. Hold your breath for a second, then exhale.
Check the Battery
It’s pretty obvious that the performance of your vaporizer will entirely depend on the functionality of the battery.
At lower charge, most vaporizers do not perform well. Make sure your vape is charged to the max at the start of every sesh – and check if the battery has worn out, every now and then. Sometimes, you will need to replace your battery.
Clean Your Device Properly
Cleaning your vaporizer after every session is a must if you want to maintain the device over the long-term, keeping it working at its highest level.
Leftover plant matter can block important channels, resulting in reduced heat and airflow.
To clean your device, let it sit and cool down. Disassemble the mouthpiece – then, using a brush, clean the debris. You can also use the stirrer/scraper that comes with your device. Use alcohol-dipped cotton buds to wipe the stains and sticky matter off the device.
To remove persistent stains, you can turn on the device and heat it up – allowing sticky herbs to come off easily. Repeat this process at least once every two sessions.
