Matt Ford is a talented comedian hailing from Brisbane, Australia. He’s been doing his thing with stand-up shows since he left high school a decade ago.
Joe and Mitch were lucky enough to catch up with Matt during the COVID crisis… which naturally, has made stand-up shows a little challenging, over the past few months. Nonetheless, this professional comedian had many tales to tell, when it came to mixing comedy and cannabis.
Being a stoner and a comedian isn’t exactly the most unique combination, ever. On the flip-side, however, there aren’t a whole lot of cannabis smokers on the ‘mainstream’ end of the comedy circuit, down under. Thus, Matt is well-known as one of the few longtime cannabis enthusiasts in the scene – which means, people come to him about it. Naturally, we were very curious to learn how this particular plant has played into the dynamics of Matt’s career, thus far.
We love Matt, and were so pleased to give him a platform to present some of his work. His subtle style is genius; his bits leave us in stitches. He develops an art form of taking everyday observations and conversations to the height of hilarity. We don’t even really know how he does it – but you can observe for yourself, over the course of this near-hour long episode.
